This feature allows you to add tailored questions for your employees, in addition to the default questions generated by the system. These questions will appear to your employees when they submit a request, as well as in the submission file after the trip has been submitted.
Accessing custom fields
To set up your custom questions, go to Company settings, then navigate to Custom fields, and select Workation request fields or Business travel request fields:
Customizable question types
When creating your custom questions, you can click on Add another field to add a question and you can choose from the following response types:
Free text: Employees can provide detailed, open-ended answers.
Checkbox: Employees can select multiple options from a list.
Radio button: Employees can choose just one option from the available choices.
Dropdown: (for Business trips only)

Required vs. optional questions
You also have the flexibility to decide whether each question is required or optional for employees to answer during their trip submission. This ensures you gather the necessary information while allowing for some discretion. The screenshot below shows how these questions appear to employees in the:

Once a trip is submitted, the answers to your custom questions will be included in the submission file, making it easy for you to review the information provided.
