This tutorial will guide you through the process of seamlessly integrating Google Workspace with the WorkFlex app.
1. Create OAuth Consent Screen
Begin by switching to “APIs and services” in Google Cloud Console and select “OAuth consent screen”
Then select “Internal” as a user type and click the “CREATE” button.
If you already see an existing consent screen, click on “EDIT APP” instead and go directly to step 3 to add the Authorized domain.
2. App registration
You have to enter an App name and select a User support email next. You can also upload a logo.
3. Setup authorised domains
Please add the authorised domain “getworkflex.com” to the list of domains.
After that, make sure a developer contact information email is selected. Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE”
4. Skip scopes and save
No additional scopes are required for WorkFlex. You can just “SAVE AND CONTINUE” and then “BACK TO DASHBOARD”.
5. Setup Credentials
Next, please select the “Credentials” menu item, click on “+ CREATE CREDENTIALS” and select “OAuth client ID”
6. Create OAuth client ID
Please select “Web application” as client type. After that, additional fields appear. Please set up a descriptive name for your application in the “Name” field and add the Redirect-URI we sent to you earlier to the list of “Authorised redirect URIs”. Finally, click “CREATE”
7. Last Step: Share Credentials Securely
Send the Client ID and Client Secret to WorkFlex through a secure channel (e.g., One-Time-Link, encrypted email or SMS).
