In Chile, A1 certificates are issued by the Instituto de Previsión Social (IPS), confirming employees remain under their home country’s social security.
Processing typically takes 5–8 business days, and the main challenge is providing proper authorization via a POA.
✅ What you need to do
1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)
We will provide you with a POA template. Please sign it and return it to us.
2. Submit the application via WorkFlex
Once we have the POA, WorkFlex submits the application to IPS via portal or email.

POA must clearly authorize A1/CoC requests.
IPS accepts scanned copies via email or portal.
No additional local formalities are required.
