In Uruguay, the Banco de Previsión Social (BPS) issues A1 certificates confirming that posted employees remain under their home country’s social security system.
Processing times may vary; officially, it takes 7–10 business days, with the main challenge being that Powers of Attorney (POAs) signed abroad must be notarized and apostilled.

Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)

After receiving the POA, WorkFlex will submit the application to BPS on your behalf.
⚠️ Key points to keep in mind
The POA must explicitly authorize WorkFlex to request A1/CoC certificates.
Only BPS can issue the certificate.
Processing typically takes 7–10 business days.
