Applying for A1 certificates in Norway is done through Altinn, the Norwegian online portal for social security and employer submissions.
Processing can take around 6 months, so it’s important to start early. The main challenge is that WorkFlex can only submit applications once your company has provided a Power of Attorney (POA) and completed the necessary authorization on Altinn.
Please note that WorkFlex can only apply for A1 certificates, as Certificates of Coverage (CoCs) are submitted directly to NAV, which does not permit third-party access.
✅ What you need to do
1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)
We will provide you with a template. Please sign it and return it to us.
2. Authorize WorkFlex on Altinn
We will provide you with a step-by-step guideline on how to grant WorkFlex access to submit A1 applications via Altinn.
3. Complete the employer questionnaire
Provide the required details, including headcount (administrative, operational, etc.) and other relevant company information.
4. Submit the application via WorkFlex
Once the POA, Altinn authorization, and questionnaire are in place, WorkFlex will submit the A1 request via Altinn on your behalf.
