Applying for A1 certificates in Austria is done online through the ELDA (Elektronischer Datenaustausch mit den österreichischen Sozialversicherungsträgern) portal.
Processing usually takes around 5 working days for A1 certificates, while Certificates of Coverage (CoCs) can take up to 2 weeks.
The main challenge is that WorkFlex can only submit applications once we have received the POA with the needed details to be formally authorized on ELDA.
✅ What you need to do
1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)
We will provide you with a POA template. Please sign it and return it to us.
2. WorkFlex to create an employer account for you on ELDA
Once we have received the POA with the details, we will create an account on ELDA and start processing the A1 applications.

A POA is always required.
Without ELDA authorization, WorkFlex cannot submit your A1 or CoC applications.
