Applying for A1 certificates in Denmark is done via email sent to the Danish social security agency.
Processing times are usually around 2 months, though it may take longer depending on the case. The key challenge is that WorkFlex must first be authorized to apply from the employer and get a copy of the employment contract.
✅ What you need to do
1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)
We will provide you with a POA template. Please sign it and return it to us.
2. Have the employee upload their employment contract
The employee should upload it to the document center.

A POA is always required.
The general rule is that the employer and employee receive the A1 certificate. However, based on our communication with the authorities, it is possible that the authorities may send the certificates directly to WorkFlex, so there should be no issues in this regard.
If the authorities send the A1 certificate to the employer and/or employee, the certificate should be sent directly to the email [email protected].
