Applying for A1 certificates in Lithuania is done via post to the Lithuanian social security agency (SODRA).

Processing times are usually around 1 month, though it may take longer depending on the case. The key challenge is that WorkFlex must attain several documents from both the employee and the employer.

βœ… What you need to do

1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA) and an employer questionnaire
We will provide you with a POA template. Please sign it and return it to us.

We will also provide you with the employer questionnaire. Please fill it out, sign it, and return it to us.

2. Have the employee upload their documents to the document center
The employee should upload their employment contract and a photocopy of their ID/residence permit.

⚠️ Key points to bear in mind

  • A POA is always required.

  • The employer receives the A1 certificate. Upon receipt, the certificate should be sent directly to the email social.security@getworkflex.com

  • Too early for a full assessment as WorkFlex hasn’t received many applications yet.

πŸ‘‰ Once these steps are complete, WorkFlex will handle the entire A1 application process on your behalf.
