Applying for A1 certificates in Latvia is done via paper form submission to the Latvian social security institution.
Processing can take ~4–6 weeks, so it’s important to prepare everything in advance. The main challenge is that WorkFlex can only submit applications once your company provides a Power of Attorney (POA) and the necessary employer details.

Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)

Provide employer details
Complete and share the required employer information, including headcount and other relevant company details.
Submit application through WorkFlex
Once the POA and employer details are received, WorkFlex will complete and submit the paper form to the Latvian social security institution.
