Applying for A1 certificates in Slovakia is done through the Slovak Social Insurance Agency (SOCI).
Processing times are typically 4 months, and the main challenge is that WorkFlex can only submit applications once you provide a Power of Attorney (POA) authorizing us to act on your behalf. Furthermore, Slovak authorities require attaching the employment contract to the application. Failing to comply with the authorities' requirements jeopardises the application.

Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)
We will provide a template. Please sign and return it to us.
The employee to submit the employment contract in the document center
During application (only once), the employee will be asked to upload the employment contract to the WorkFlex document center.
Submit application through WorkFlex
Once we have the POA, WorkFlex will submit the application to SOCI.
⚠️ Key points to bear in mind
A POA is always required.
Only the Slovak social security institution can issue the certificate.
Processing usually takes 5–7 business days.
