Applying for A1 certificates in Slovakia is done through the Slovak Social Insurance Agency (SOCI).

Processing times are typically around 4 months, and the main challenge is that WorkFlex can only submit applications once you provide a Power of Attorney (POA) authorizing us to act on your behalf.
Additionally, the Slovak authorities require the employment contract to be attached to the application. Failure to comply with these requirements may jeopardize the application.

βœ… What you need to do

1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)
We will provide you with a template. Please sign it and return it to us.

2. The employee must submit the employment contract in the document center
During the application process (only once), the employee will be asked to upload the employment contract to the WorkFlex document center.

3. Submit the application via WorkFlex
Once we have received the POA, WorkFlex will submit the application to SOCI on your behalf.

⚠️ Key points to keep in mind

  • A POA is always required.

  • Only the Slovak social security institution (SOCI) can issue the certificate.

  • Processing usually takes around 4 months.

πŸ‘‰ Once the POA is in place, WorkFlex will handle the entire application process on your behalf.
