๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท Authorizing WorkFlex for A1 Applications in Greece

This article is only relevant when the country in which the employee pays their social security contributions (home country/payroll country) is Greece.

Applying for A1 certificates in Greece is done via email sent to the local eEfka that the employer belongs to.

Processing times vary depending on the local eEfka office that the employer belongs to. The key challenge is that the official process is to apply in person (Physically) in front of the local eEfka office, but in practice offices exceptionally accept email applications. When such applications are accepted on exceptional basis, each local eEfka office treats cases differently than the other.

โœ… What you need to do

1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)

  • We will provide you with a POA template. Please sign and return it to us.

2. We need you to provide us with a certain set of documents as per each request, some documents can be provided directly from the employee, and others from the employer

  • The documents vary based on the local eEfka office that the client belongs to.

โš ๏ธ Key points to bear in mind

ยท A POA is always required.

ยท As the official process for A1 applications is physically and emails are accepted based on the discretion of the local eEfka office that you belong to, we will only be able to proceed with A1 applications in case that the local eEfka office accepts the application, otherwise applications cannot be processed.

ยท Too early for full assessment as WorkFlex didnโ€™t receive much application.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Once these steps are complete, WorkFlex will handle the A1 application process fully on your behalf.
