Applying for A1 certificates in Ireland is done through the Revenue Online Service (ROS). Processing typically takes 2โ€“4 weeks. The main challenge is that we cannot submit applications unless your company grants us the proper authorization in ROS.

To enable WorkFlex to apply on your behalf, please complete the following steps:

โœ… What you need to do

  1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA)

    • We will provide you with a template. Please sign and return it to us.

  2. Register with ROS (if not already registered)

    • ROS is the Irish Revenueโ€™s online portal.

    • To register, apply for a ROS Access Number (RAN).

    • Use the RAN to set up your digital certificate.

  3. Grant WorkFlex sub-authorization in ROS

    • Once registered, log in to ROS and add WorkFlex as a sub-authorized agent.

    • Weโ€™ll provide you with step-by-step guidance on how to grant us the sub-authorization.

โš ๏ธ Key points to bear in mind

  • A POA is always required.

  • Some additional employer information may be requested (e.g., headcount in Ireland). This is part of the official application.

  • Without ROS sub-authorization, WorkFlex cannot submit your A1 applications.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Once these steps are complete, WorkFlex will handle the A1 application process fully on your behalf.
