Applying for A1 certificates in the Czech Republic is done via email sent to the Czech social security agency.

Processing times are usually around 1-2 months, though it may take longer depending on the case. The key challenge is that WorkFlex must attain extensive information from the client, and any missing detail will halt the process.

โœ… What you need to do

1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA) and an employer document
We will provide you with a POA template. Please sign it and return it to us.

2. Have the employee upload their documents to the document center
The employee should upload their employment contract.

โš ๏ธ Key points to bear in mind

  • A POA is always required.

  • The Czech authorities allow one A1 certificate for a named country of destination every two months. For example, if an employee travels to Germany at the beginning of January and the end of February, we can only get the A1 certificate for the trip in January. This rule does not apply if the destination countries are different.

  • Additional operational and personnel information is required within the application form, and WorkFlex will request this information from you.

APPLICATION BLOCKERS:

  1. An employee cannot travel to the same country of destination twice within 2 months. The second trip to the same country within 60 days will result in the A1 application being rejected.

  2. Sickness insurance is mandatory for the employee. If the employee is not insured against sickness insurance, they cannot get an A1 certificate.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Once these steps are complete, WorkFlex will handle the A1 application process fully on your behalf.
