Applying for A1 certificates in the Czech Republic is done via email sent to the Czech social security agency.
Processing times are usually around 1-2 month(s), though it may take longer depending on the case. The key challenge is that WorkFlex must attain extensive information from the client, and any missing detail will stop the process.
β What you need to do
1. Sign a Power of Attorney (POA) and an employer
We will provide you with a POA template. Please sign and return it to us.
2. Have the employee upload their documents on the document center
The employee should upload their employment contract.
β οΈ Key points to bear in mind
A POA is always required.
The Czech authorities allow for one A1 certificate to named country of destination once every two months (e.g., if an employee travels to Germany in the beginning of January and end of February, we can only get the A1 certificate for the trip in January). This rule is not applicable if there are different destination countries though.
Additional operational and personnel information is required within the application form, WorkFlex will request such information from you.
APPLICATION BLOCKERS:
1) An employee cannot travel to the same country of destination twice within the span of 2 months. The second trip to the same country of destination will have its A1 application rejected if it is within 60 days from the first trip.
2) Sickness insurance is mandatory for the employee. If the employee is not insured against sickness insurance, then they cannot get an A1 certificate.
π Once these steps are complete, WorkFlex will handle the A1 application process fully on your behalf.
